Monique Cordery has appealed to the public for any information about her sister Stephanie Cordery who has been missing for almost three weeks now.
“It’s hard to find the words to describe the ache in my heart right now,” Monique wrote on social media.
“My sister, Steph, is still missing. Steph isn’t just my sister; she is a beautiful, vibrant soul who is so deeply loved. The world feels incomplete and dim without her.
”I am pleading with anyone who might know anything, no matter how small, to please come forward. We need her home. We need to know she is safe.”
The family released more photos to assist with identifying Stephanie.
Police have appealed for public assistance again.
Stephanie Cordery, aged 42, was last seen on Woodlark Street, Lismore at about 5.30am on Wednesday, August 5.
Stephanie’s car was found on Newton Drive at Nimbin later that day.
Extensive searches have since occurred in the Newton Drive and Upper Tuntable Falls Road areas involving local police, assisted by Police Rescue, the Dog Unit, SES and RFS.
Police hold serious concerns for Stephanie’s welfare as she lives with a medical condition and requires medication.
She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of medium build with brown hair.
She is known to frequent the Ballina, Lismore and Nimbin areas. Stephanie has family in Casino.
Monique urged the community to share any information about Stephanie.
“However, with active field searches now winding down, our family is left in heartbreak and limbo. Steph didn’t just disappear into thin air.”
“We know law enforcement has limited resources, but we cannot let Steph’s case fade into the background. We need answers, and we need help to keep the spotlight on finding her,” she said.
