Woman trapped in car after it crashes into tree, rescue helicopter airlifts her to hospital

In the early hours of the morning, emergency services were called to Clarence Way after reports a car had crashed into a tree with the driver trapped in the car.

Urbenville SES and Bonalbo and Old Bonalbo RFS crews rushed to the crash site at 12:23am today, Sunday, April 14.

The female driver in her 20s was extracted from the car by SES crews using E-hydraulic spreaders and jaws of life.

SES worked with paramedics to free the woman’s legs, and crews had to remove the back door of the car to get her out.

The woman was flown to Gold Coast University Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

The woman has multiple injuries.
