Worry not about the smoke from hazard reduction burn

If residents see smoke in the air, it’s coming from the Queensland and NSW border near the Border Ranges National Park.

A hazard reduction is being carried out by Queensland Parks and the southern containment line is near Cougal, north of Kyogle today, Sunday, February 12.

The burn may generate a bit of smoke as the winds are tending west-northwest.

RFS said the site was elevated and will be visible across significant areas of the Northern Rivers.
