Yarding of 862 at NRLX cattle sales

Casino penned 862 mixed quality cattle at the NRLX today, Wednesday, May 20. There were 294 less cattle than last week’s sale. 

The cows presented in mixed condition however that category resulted in much dearer trends with all cow buyers participating processors and paddock buyers alike.

Weaner steers and heifers under 200kgs resulted in dearer trends to background. 

Weaner steers to feed gained 5c/kg 430c to 495c/kg similar backgrounders 14c/kg better 380c to 518c/kg. 

Weaner heifers to 280kgs for background purposes much dearer 320c to 398c/kg. 

Similar processors 21c/kg dearer 338c to 352c/kg.

Yearling steers to background 300c to 355c/kg and 458c/kg to feed. 

Yearling heifers to process 310c to 363c/kg.

Heavy grown steers to process 394c to 410c/kg grown heifers much dearer 270c to 379c/kg. 

Cows back to the paddock 296c to 318c/kg medium cows to process 240c to 346c/kg. Heavy cows 320c to 368c/kg and prime heavy cows to 35c/kg better 356c to 380c/kg. Heavy bulls were cheaper 347c to 368c/kg.
