COVID: 576 new cases in Northern Rivers, one death

NSW reported 35,054 new covid cases today.

576 of those were from the Northern Rivers.

Northern NSW Local Health District reported the death of one man from covid. He was in his 70s and lived at the Bupa Aged Care Facility in Ballina. He was not vaccinated.

There are 26 covid patients in hospital in Northern NSW with four of these in ICU.

New cases by LGA are:

Richmond Valley – 25

Kyogle – 3

Clarence Valley – 67

Lismore – 43

Tweed Heads – 240

Ballina – 102

Byron Shire – 96

NNSWLHD advised anyone with covid symptoms to be tested and self-isolate until they receive a negative test result.
