COVID: 812 new cases in Northern Rivers, PCR results only

812 new covid cases were confirmed in the Northern Rivers today.
The cases were located in these LGAs:
Richmond Valley 38
Kyogle 8
Ballina 88
Lismore 130
Clarence Valley 92
Byron 162
Tweed 292
Tenterfield 2
(Tenterfield is in a different Local Health District, but postcodes put cases in NNSWLHD).
There are 54 covid patients in hospitals in Northern NSW with six of these in ICU.
Northern NSW Local Health District urges people to get tested for covid at the first sign of symptoms and isolate until a negative result is received.
NSW recorded 25,870 new covid cases today detected by PCR testing.
As people follow NSW Health’s advice to use rapid antigen tests for diagnosing covid, the number of PCR tests will underestimate the true number of people who have tested positive for covid.
