Dashcam footage from a car crash on the Bruxner Highway at Woodview on Friday, June 30, shows why a father had to grab the steering wheel from his 16 year old daughter to avoid colliding with a car that had veered onto their side of the road.
The father was giving his daughter a driving lesson when a Land Cruiser crossed the centre line and was headed straight for them.
He grabbed the wheel, the car went off the road and hit a tree.
The father and daughter were taken to Lismore Base Hospital.
The father, in his 50s, had chest injuries and the girl had leg injuries.
Police are now searching for the driver of the Land Cruiser.
