Montgomerys Bridge will be officially opened on Tuesday, September 8 at 11am and the community is invited to the event.

It has taken almost six years for the bridge to be repaired after it was closed for safety reasons in November 2020. Read more about the bridge repair here.

State MP Janelle Saffin will join Kyogle Council mayor Danielle Mulholland to open the new $3.3million bridge at Iron Pot Creek.

The bridge is not simply another new crossing – it restores access for Iron Pot Creek and Ghinni Ghi residents after almost six years of up to 16km detours.

Kyogle Council said the bridge opening will be cause for community celebration and congratulations to the council crew who fixed the bridge.
