Oak Avenue in Casino was blocked for more than an hour this morning, Saturday, August 20 as firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 253 Casino attended a house fire.
The single-storey brick and tile home in Oak Avenue was extensively damaged by fire, heat, water and smoke.
The fire was mostly contained to the front middle bedroom but the heat caused significant damage throughout the house along with smoke and water damage.
The young family was home at the time but all were able to evacuate safely.
Police detectives are investigating the cause of the fire.
A fundraiser has been set up for the family of eight who lost all their belongings in the fire.
