The Northern Co-operative Meat Company Ltd in Casino is considering the merits of becoming an unlisted public company.
Chief executive Simon Stahl said converting to an unlisted public company is a multifaceted process that demands meticulous planning.
The conversion process remains contingent upon several factors including tax advice, regulatory approval, and ultimately member approval, Mr Stahl said.
Chairman John Seccombe said the NCMC is “committed to keeping our members informed as appropriate.”
Management anticipates completing due diligence by late August.
Later in the year, detailed information regarding the proposed conversion will be provided to NCMC members.
