Free RSA courses to help ease hospitality staff shortages

The NSW Government will fund 5,000 fee-free Responsible Service of Alcohol courses to support new workers to enter the hospitality industry and help ease the staffing pressure on licensed hospitality venues.

The free courses will be available from Monday, February 7.

The hospitality sector supports more than 300,000 jobs and providing free RSA courses will help more people work in an industry that has struggled during covid lockdowns.

Refresher RSA courses are also available free of charge from February 7 until the end of June to encourage former hospitality workers to return to the sector.

The RSA courses will be available through TAFE NSW and private providers who already offer government subsidised programs.
