Hamish Johnston and Josey Close are a couple in their twenties who have lived at Jackson Flat near Tabulam for two years.
On Wednesday, January 19 their home was burnt to the ground.
It was their first home together.
Five fire crews from Tabulam, Frazers Cutting, Bonalbo and Mallanganee RFS tried to save the house but everything was destroyed.
Wendy Johnston has set up a crowdfunder for her son and his partner to help them rebuild their lives.
The fundraiser target is $5000.
