A minor flood warning for Wilsons River has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology.
Moderate rainfall across the Wilsons River catchment since Wednesday has caused significant river level rises along the Wilsons River and its tributaries, which has the potential to cause minor flooding along the Wilsons River at Lismore today, Friday, January 21.
Further rainfall is possible over the next 36 hours which could cause further river level rises.
Lismore
Minor flooding may occur along the Wilsons River at Lismore. The Wilsons River could reach 4.20 metres around 11am today.
Kyogle LGA
Gradys Creek Road (gravel section) is closed – heavy rain leading to rising creek levels have made some causeways impassable
Lions Road: No through access to Lions Road and Queensland
Hootons Road – Bingins Bridge over Clarence River – closed (water over bridge)
Paddys Flat Road – Closed at Billy Mays Point and Paddys Flat due to water over road
Tims Lane – Closed because of water over the bridge
Richmond Valley
Casino Foot bridge is closed
