Arlo Sonnex has a one in 25million medical condition where he is unable to feel pain.

The rare condition is called congenital insensitivity to pain. This means anything he does that may be hurting him, he does not feel it and it can lead to self-harm.

He can’t feel a pinch, a broken bone, appendicitis or even a heart attack.

Arlo has already had to deal with a lot of self-injury.

He has a speech and language delay because of a permanent tongue injury.

Arlo is two years old.

Congenital insensitivity to pain is a lifelong disability and Arlo needs a team of specialists to support him.

Casino CWA vice president Jane Flick is holding a Charity Golf Day at Casino Golf Club on June 25 to raise money for Arlo’s medical needs.

Jane said there were already many donated items for auction prizes including a “magnificent patchwork quilt”.

“I have a signed shirt from world champion boxer Jeff Horn who was awarded the Bradman Award. He is now an ambassador for anti-bullying,” she said.

To donate a prize to help the Casino toddler, call Jane on 0427 707 669.
