The theme is ‘isolation’.  The purpose is to capture the theme in a photograph.

Film maker John Rado snapped John Cieslak at home during lockdown and the lighting evokes the mood of isolation.

John has missed his friends and some of his support workers during this difficult time.

“The games group, the tip shop, darts on a Wednesday night at the Bowlo and general Kyoglian shenanigans have had to be put on hold.”

John Rado described the situation leading to his photograph.

Every fortnight, Kyogle Photography Group has a new theme and last fortnight it was ‘isolation’.

The Facebook photography group started in May 2020.

Mick Bobbin said he saw a post on the Kyogle Friendly Town page, and someone was asking about a photography shop in town. While Mick couldn’t help with that, he thought a page to share photos was needed.

“On the first day we had well over 100 new members in the first 12 hours. Obviously, this site had been well received by the community.”

“To date, we have a core of members who regularly post to the site, and this has uncovered a very talented group of people,” Mick said

“Many members sole requirement is to view the imagery posted by others and we have morphed from specifically Kyogle to international although all our members have some affinity with our little town even though that might be residing in a town local to the area.”
