Injured driver lying next to car after crash

There was a car crash on Summerland Way at Myrtle Creek today, Saturday, March 25.

At 7:34am, the Casino Rescue Squad was called to the crash because there were reports of a person being trapped.

When the crew arrived, the driver was injured and was lying outside the car down an embankment.

Paramedics treated the patient and VRA Rescue crew helped to place the patient into a stokes litter (a specialist rescue stretcher) to carry the patient to the ambulance.

Once stabilised the patient was transported to hospital.
