When the Casino RSM Club ordered a new bus, the club board decided to give the old bus to another club.
Club chief executive John Walker said it was a decision made by the board nearly a year ago – to gift the bus to Kyogle Golf Club.
Finally the new bus has arrived and Casino RSM can hand over the old one.
“It is not normal to do this however the golf club believed a bus was necessary to attract more members, keep them safe and provide a community service,” Mr Walker said.
The bus is worth about $15,000.
Kyogle Golf Club will take off the RSM branding and put on its own.
“There was no other motivation than a big club helping a smaller one,” Mr Walker said.
Casino RSM Club has no association with Kyogle.
“It’s just a bigger club helping a small club that is struggling and run by volunteers.”
