The story of Izzy Miller’s brave act of stopping a rolling bus crashing into petrol pumps in North Casino has been on the news everywhere.

Erin Whitton posted about the runaway bus on the North Casino Mini Mart Facebook page when she presented Izzy with a bravery certificate and $100.

IndyNR.com published the story on November 28.

Since then, the Guardian, ABC, the Sydney Morning Herald,  Channel 9 news and The Project have featured the Casino High School student’s quick thinking in a potentially dangerous situation.

Her story was in the New York Post and featured on the BBC in the UK.

The NSW Education Department published a story about Izzy.

Premier Chris Minns mentioned her too.

“Izzy, you are the definition of a real-life hero. And I have no doubt you’ll be a real weapon when you are officially allowed behind the wheel,” Mr Minns said.

“Thank you for your bravery.”

Richmond Police are investigating the incident that could have had a different result if not for the 14 year old Izzy.
