Man charged with armed robbery at Kyogle chemist

A man came into the Kyogle chemist on Tuesday, April 9.

A man who allegedly ran away after pulling out a knife at a chemist while demanding prescription medication has been charged by police.

Just after 12.30pm on Tuesday, April 9, an armed man fled the Kyogle chemist.

No one was physically injured in the incident.

Police found the 41 year old man at Kyogle Road, Lillian Rock at 7pm yesterday.

He was arrested and taken to Lismore Base Hospital under police guard.

He was discharged from the hospital today, Wednesday, April 10, and escorted to Lismore Police Station where he was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon.

He was refused bail and will appear in court tomorrow, Thursday, April 11.
