A reinvigorated Tabulam Market was held today, Sunday, April 9 outside The Honey Shed next to the Bruxner Highway.

Belinda Fields, Tresea Surye, Jill Adam, Debbie Van Gelder and Kelly Jones meet every Friday to discuss the market and how to make sure it grows and thrives.

The market has been rebranded with a horse logo.

Kelly moved to Tabulam six months ago. She had been through years of drought in Inverell, spent some time in Melbourne and then decided to move to Tabulam.

“After three years of drought, I needed a break,” Kelly said.

She has joined the other women because she wants to see the market grow.

“I’ve moved here and I want to be part of a community that has resilience and to go to a market where I can buy all my produce,” Kelly said.

The market will be on the second Sunday of each month. There will a secondhand alley, a trash and treasure community stall and a regular book stall.
