The new Casino Ambulance Station is officially open and operational.
The new purpose built station at the Casino Health Campus on Canterbury St has a solar energy and battery storage system which can provide emergency power source when needed.
The new station has internal parking for up to five emergency ambulances, an admin and office area, logistics and storage areas, relief accommodation, a delivery and loading bay, an internal wash bay and a medic fit gym.
The previous station on Centre St was 90 years old.
