PHOTOS: Casino cleans up after floods

Photographer Jackson Whitney was in Casino today taking photos of the clean-up in the CBD.

After the Richmond River burst its banks and floodwaters rose to 16.2 metres, mud and debris was dumped in the streets of the CBD.

People in low lying areas were evacuated to Casino High School and today they returned home to assess the damage.

Shops owners in the CBD were doing the same as the big clean-up began.

SES, Richmond Valley Council staff as well as mud army teams set to sweeping, hosing and cleaning in the aftermath of a shocking flood.
