Emergency services were called to a home on Woodenbong Road, Bonalbo, after reports of a domestic incident at 1am yesterday, Sunday, August 11.
When police arrived they found a 35 year old woman with a laceration to her head.
She was treated by paramedics and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
A 35 year old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Lismore Hospital for a hand injury. He is under police guard.
Inquiries are ongoing.
