A 70 year old woman was pinned beneath a car when it rolled down a driveway in Sunderland St in Evans Head and trapped her beneath the car.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to the scene and arrived at Evans Head at 12.40pm.
The woman was trapped for some time before being released by rescue services.
She sustained head and chest injuries and a partially severed leg in the accident.
She was treated at the scene by the aircraft medical team and NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
