The Bureau of Meteorology said the trough and cloud band over the state has brought widespread rain to the Northern Rivers today, Monday, May 18 and will continue overnight.
Catchments in the flood watch area are wet to moderately wet.
River level rises are expected with minor flood warnings for Wilsons River and Richmond River.
Northern Rivers NSW SES warned about flash flooding across the region.
For Lismore, Bungawalbin and Coraki an Advice flood warning has been issued by the SES.
