Seven new covid cases were reported by the Northern NSW Local Health District today.
Of these, four cases are in Grafton in the Clarence Valley LGA.
One case is in the Ballina LGA and two in Byron Shire.
Investigations into the sources of these infections is underway, and initial results indicate that these cases have been infectious in the community.
Contact tracing is underway to determine venues of concern.
Two cases are being cared for in hospital, and both are in a stable condition.
There have been 48 total cases confirmed in Northern NSW since June 16 when the current Delta outbreak in Sydney began.
Expanded clinics are available in Grafton this week.
