The Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to a serious car crash 3km south of Woodburn just after midnight, today, Sunday, January 22.
Paramedics and the critical care medical team treated and stabilised the teenage driver who had serious head injuries.
The teen was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition for further treatment.
