Teen’s ute impounded after dangerous driving on beach

A teenage boy will appear before court after allegedly driving dangerously on a beach at Evans Head last week.

On Friday, December 15, police officers said they reviewed social media footage of a ute being driven dangerously on Airforce Beach.

Police will allege in court that the driver of the ute engaged in reckless driving including the prolonged loss of traction.

Following inquiries, police went to a Casino residence and spoke with a 17 year old boy yesterday, Tuesday, December 19.

The teenager was issued a court attendance notice for drive recklessly in a dangerous manner dangerous.

He will appear before a court on the Wednesday, January 24

The ute was impounded for three months.

Several other young people have since been interviewed in relation to this matter and investigations are ongoing.
