Two cars crash at highway intersection

This story was based on info provided by first responders and members of the community to keep our readers informed.

Two cars crashed at the intersection of Summerland Way and Bentley Road at about 4pm today, Monday, December 25.

The driver of one of the cars – a woman in her 70s had an arm injury and upper chest pain likely caused by the seat belt. She was taken to Lismore Base Hospital.

The driver of the other car did not have any injuries.

Kyogle RFS crew assisted at the crash site and an SES member on his way home from a storm job stopped to help too.

The road has been cleared of debris from the crash.

Correction

We have removed the sentence from this story stating that the crash happened while it was raining heavily. This information was from NSW Ambulance. First responders on the scene said it had not been raining so we have removed that reference.
