Two teenage boys charged after allegedly using a golf club and machete to make threats

Two teenage boys allegedly armed with a golf club and machete, attended a home on Boronia Crescent, Casino, and made a number of threats at about 5.15pm yesterday, Friday, July 19.

Police officers with the dog unit attended the home.

A short time later, police attended a property on Laurel Avenue, Casino, and arrested two teenage boys, aged 15 and 17.

Both boys allegedly attempted to escape from police.

A large crowd gathered at the property. More police came and assisted in transporting the two teenagers to Casino Police Station.

The boys were charged with several offences including using an offensive weapon in company with the intent of an indictable offence, affray, and hindering or resisting a police officer in the execution of duty.

The boys were in Lismore Childrens Court today, Saturday, July 20 and were granted conditional bail to appear back in court on  Childrens Court on Friday, August 16.
