Six police cars and an ambulance had sirens on along the Bruxner Highway heading to a crash at Mallanganee at 3.16pm today, Wednesday, July 5.
The Casino Rescue Squad truck also headed out from Casino.
There were reports of people trapped in cars.
As it turned out, it was a one car – a ute that had crashed into a creek off Deep Creek Rd, Mallanganee and there was only one person trapped in the car.
The driver was removed from the ute and treated by paramedics at the scene.
The accident happened near the roadworks on Deep Creek Rd to the shock of the road workers.
Also on scene were Mallanganee RFS and Bonalbo and Casino ambulances.
