A severe thunderstorm warning with large hailstones has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology for north east NSW.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones in the warning area, a circle shown in the map below, over the next several hours. This warning was issued at 5.26pm.
Locations which may be affected include Lismore, Casino, Coraki, Rappville, Mallanganee and Woodburn.
The SES advises that people should:
● Move your car under cover.
● Unplug computers and appliances.
● Avoid using the phone during the storm.
● Stay indoors away from windows and keep children and pets indoors as well.
● For emergency help ring the SES on 132 500.
