The former Caltex service station at Woodburn has been empty since the floods.

Signage and branding has been removed and the space is blank. Empty.

IndyNR.com asked Ampol what was happening with the servo.

An Ampol spokesperson said they had plans.

“Ampol is working with the owner to review and develop a plan for the Woodburn site,” the spokesperson said.

“We will update the community once more information becomes available.”

Darren Constable said Woodburn definitely needed a servo.

“Need fuel, food, bait, drinks, ice. Coming from Casino early some mornings, I’d normally fuel up in Woodburn cos it’s less weight I’d have to carry over the very ordinary road,” he said.

Residents Donna Walsh and Anne Lane agreed – they wanted a service station in Woodburn.

The shop that would be part of the servo would be especially useful to Woodburn residents who lost their supermarket during the floods.
