The Evans Head Bombers Junior Rugby League Club has relaunched after a 15 year hiatus.

At the club’s annual general meeting the Northern Rivers Group 1 Junior Rugby League was launched..

A committee of 14 was formed to see the juniors head into next year’s season.

Evans Head Bombers JRLC president Glenn Deass said there had been “overwhelming support” for the relaunch that “speaks volumes about the passion our community has for junior rugby league”.

The new committee includes Glenn Deas as president, Taysha Butler as vice president, Gary Wimbus as treasurer, Kiralee Strong as secretary,  Savannah Esler and Megan Dunn as registrars.

“We are now in the process of filling 5 to 6 junior age divisions for the 2024 season, and we welcome players of all skill levels to join us,” Mr Deas said.

“Rugby is more than just a sport; it’s about community, team spirit, and personal growth. We’re here to provide a positive environment for young players to flourish.”

As the Evans Head Bombers JRLC makes its comeback, the club invites businesses and individuals to be sponsors. Volunteers who would like to contribute their time and skills to the growth of the club are welcome.
