ELECTION: We’re calling it for Kyogle. Your councillors based on voting trends

Susanna Freymark

The formal and official results of the Kyogle Council election will not be finalised until December 21, according to the NSW Electoral Commission.
This is because postal, iVotes and preferences have to be added to the final tally.
Our predictions are based on the trends we’re seeing in the votes that have already been counted.
They are not the final results and are based on our opinion.
We’re calling it.
Councillors for Ward B will be John Burley, Rob Cullen and Maggie May.
We’re calling the councillors for Ward C as Danielle Mulholland, Tom Cooper and James Murray.
Ward A councillors Janet Wilson, Hayden Doolan and Kylie Thomas have been re-elected unopposed.
After the election results are confirmed, the councillors will elect a mayor and deputy mayor.
I’d like to congratulate all the candidates who ran in this election. A democracy has winners and losers but without the participants there is no race.
All candidates who put themselves out there, thank you.

ELECTION UPDATE: Mulholland and Cooper in for Ward C, Burley and Cullen close tie for first place in Ward B
