Work begins this week on a section of the Bruxner Highway that is expected to take a year to complete.

The highway maintenance work is from near Bulmers Rd, past the village of Mallanganee to the turn off to Deep Creek Rd.

A Transport for NSW spokesman said that the work will be carried out in sections.

Work will be done on weekdays from 7am–6pm and Saturdays from 8am–1pm and is expected to be completed by July 2024.

No work will be carried out on Sundays or public holidays.

Single lane alternate traffic flow arrangements and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place while the work is being done.
