WRAPPED: Get your gifts posted early for expected Christmas rush

Susanna Freymark

There are 58 days until Christmas and if you’re hesitating about posting presents, get cracking.
Coraki Post Office owner Steve Taylor said in the lead-up to Christmas they have already exceeded the peak number of parcels processed.
“There have been one million extra online shoppers since covid,” Mr Taylor said.
“And it is continuing to grow.”
Australia Post released this year’s dates for parcel delivery.
In Australia, parcels must be sent by December 13 and express parcels by December 20.
Christmas cards sent within NSW should be posted by December 20 and for interstate by December 16.
For overseas parcel delivery – if you’re sending gifts to the UK post them by November 26. For New Zealand, post by December 3 and for Canada, get your presents wrapped and posted by November 30.
The message from Australia Post is to send gifts early.
