Crossing Project and Tinnie Heroes in Flickerfest final

Two local films feature in the Byron All Shorts final at the Flickerfest in Bangalow on Saturday, February 18.

The winners will be announced at 7pm.

The Crossing Project involves the work of eight writers who feature in the 23-minute film directed by Paul Shields and produced by Mr Shields, Paul Daley and Jenny Fraser.

The cinematic film features creative responses from local writers about the many waterways and the old wooden bridges criss-crossing Bundjalung Country.

Tinnie Heroes brought to you by IndyNR.com is also a finalist in the same competition.

Tinnie Heroes is directed by Susanna Freymark and Jimmy Malecki and is about the locals who jumped into boats and saved people stranded in their homes during the February-March floods.

The screening at Flickerfest on Saturday will be a world premiere for Tinnie Heroes.

The official film launch is at Woodburn on March 1.
