Kyogle Tidy Towns members presented the Kyogle MPS with a $5000 donation to buy furniture and fittings for a new lounge area for aged care residents.

Director of nursing Nancy Martin thanked the community for its generosity.

“The local community has been very supportive of the works, with local charities, organisations and individuals writing letters of support for the original 2021 grant application and now with fundraising for furnishings,” Ms Martin said.

The almost completed lounge will give a more homely feel to the MPS and is expected to be finished later this year.

The new building works were funded by a combination of a grant from the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care and the NSW Ministry of Health.
